There is no doubting the fact that
blackjack is an immensely popular game but it seems that celebrities
have been bitten by the blackjack bug as well. This makes sense,
blackjack is a perfect game to play if you have time and money and this
is definitely something that celebrities have in abundance. With big
stars flocking to the blackjack table, it is likely that their fans and
followers will follow suit so if you find the blackjack table is getting
a bit more crowded these days, it may be that people are following what
their celebrities are doing!
People may wonder what Paris Hilton is actually famous but it turns out
that she may be able to win herself some cash by playing blackjack. If
the family inheritance ever evades her and the acting career disappears,
Ms Hilton may be able to come a blackjack player! The star celebrated
her 31st birthday by playing in the Wynn Las Vegas and it turns out she
had a successful evening at the blackjack table. Paris announced to all
of her fans on Twitter than she picked up £30,000 while playing
blackjack, which is a sum of money that most people would love to be
able to pick up in a casino. It may not be a life changing amount of
money for Paris but it probably allowed her to buy a new bag to carry a
tiny dog about in!
A regular big name who can be found at the blackjack table is Sean
Combs, P Diddy or whatever name he is going by this week. Perhaps his
continual name changing is a way to keep the dealer guessing when he is
at the blackjack table because there is no doubt that Sean has a lot of
love for this game. It is reported that when he was at the MTV Awards,
he demanded that a blackjack table be set up in his dressing room so he
and the rest of his entourage could have some card fun when hanging at
the show. The star was also present for the opening of Harrah’s in
Atlantic City and he made the first wager in the casino’s poolside
table.
Don Johnson may be a name that hasn’t been at the top of the game since
the 1980s and Miami Vice but Don has been doing not too badly for
himself in the intervening years. He has turned himself into a serious
blackjack player as his takings during 2011 will back up. In the early
half of 2011, he managed to bag himself over $15 million at a number of
casinos in Atlantic City. The Tropicana Atlantic City was stung for just
under 6 million dollars, which Johnson managed to win in 12 hours. He
later returned at the end of 2011 and took another 2 million dollars
from them at the blackjack table!
Katy Perry had a huge hit with ‘Waking Up In Vegas’ which probably
indicates she is no stranger to a casino but when she was still married
to Russell Brand, the pair managed to clock up a lot of time at the
blackjack table. In one of their last public outings before their split,
the couple were seen playing at the blackjack table with Perry even
finding time to provide Brand with a blackjack tutorial.
